CBAALAS Family Day and BRAD Celebration at Peaceable Primate Sanctuary

You are invited to join CBAALAS in celebrating Biomedical Research Awareness Day (BRAD) with a family day at Peaceable Primate Sanctuary!  This is a private sanctuary open to private events only so pre-registration is required to attend. On-site registration will not be available.

Bring your loved ones to spend some time visiting with the baboons, macaques, lemurs, and other animals at their retirement home.  This is a wonderful opportunity to show your loved ones what research to retirement looks like for these amazing animals while celebrating their valuable contributions to biomedical research.

11am(CDT)/12pm(EDT) - 3pm(CDT)/4pm(EDT)

Registration:  $12.50/person.  Kids age 3 and under are free.

Itinerary:

• 11am(CDT)/12pm(EDT) - Introductions with the PPS founder and taco bar lunch.
• 12pm-3pm(CDT)/1pm-4pm(EDT) - Wander the grounds to visit old friends and new while enjoying a scavenger hunt, learning from staff about the animals, enclosures and support buildings, making enrichment items, and enjoying a raffle of paintings made by sanctuary residents.
• Watch the residents enjoy the enrichment made during the event before heading home.

Transportation will not be provided. The sanctuary is less than a 2-hour drive from Chicago.  So grab some snacks and hit the road with your loved ones, or carpool with friends, to come celebrate with us and still be home by dinner time!  

Registration will cover lunch.  Any remaining proceeds will go to Peaceable Primate Sanctuary to help them continue to provide for the animals who have given us so much.
