CBAALAS is seeking nominations for the annual election. 

The open positions on the council this year are President-Elect and Council Member(s). 

The President-Elect position is recommended for those with prior experience on the council.  As President-Elect you are responsible for assisting the President with planning all CBAALAS events (e.g. general membership meetings, awards receptions, the CMC, the election, etc) and filling in for the President in his/her absence.  This is a 3-year term on the council.  The elected candidate will serve as President-Elect for the 1st year, as President for the 2nd year, and as Past President for the 3rd year.

The Council Member(s) position is also a 3-year term and is a good first step at gaining experience on the council.  Council members are often delegated tasks by the President for planning events (e.g. researching venues for conferences or receptions, identifying and recruiting speakers, and much more). 

Candidates must be a current member of CBAALAS in good standing, having joined or renewed membership by April 1st, and be able to attend monthly meetings.

The election will begin in November.  All nominations must be received by October 28, 2016.  The results of the election will be announced at the awards reception in January 2017 and the newly elected candidates will begin their terms at that time.
